CLE Information

Co-ordinated Listening Events (or CLEs) take place several times a year and provide opportunities for listeners of all levels of experience to practice our hobby and learn more about it.
To find out more about the NDB List, or to join (it's free!), visit https://groups.io/g/ndblist.

CLE 311

Dates: Starts at midday on Wednesday 25 December and ends at midday on Friday 3 January LOCAL TIMES at the receiver.
Scope: Please join us wherever you are - try to build a size 10 pyramid with a size 10 aerial on top in the range 190 kHz - 1740 kHz (normal NDBs, no UNIDs, DGPS, NAVTEX or amateur).

To do that you will need to log beacons from 19 different radio countries of your choice as follows.

Log just TEN NDBs from any one radio country,
just NINE NDBs from a second,
just EIGHT NDBs from a third,
… down to
just TWO NDBs from a ninth radio country.
10 extra loggings from 10 other different countries to make the antenna on top.

But any size of pyramid, smaller or larger, will also be OK provided that all its levels are filled (no gaps in levels).
Details: If you wish, for this Event you can use only one Internet-based remote receiver to log signals.
